I haven't seen any stats that break down MCAT performance based on major. I would attribute better performance to better test prep than anything else. As for your chances of getting into med school. They are more dependent on your GPA than anything. If you change your major and get better grades the...

Don't be so hard on the kid guys :)

I for one can't say that my diction was any better than his when I was his age. I know my GPA was worse! I got into med school from a 3.1 gpa in high school.

So don't fret neo.

I have also heard the same thing about neonatology. Pretty much any infant that is put in your care has a pretty poor prognosis. I have actually talked to a resident from a NICU that was pretty burned out. He said, "We have all of this technology to keep these kids alive, but why?" Definately not so...

Yeah orhto is really competative. Low to mid 200s are pretty much required.

Taking care of your sibling would be a good thing to mention in the personal statement. Don't bring up the negative too much though. It sounds like you are pretty strong otherwise, so let that speak for itself.
