Hey, 2.9 is NOT too low a score for a post bac program in the US. Actually most post bac programs are for people whose GPAs are right around 2.9. I would also suggest talking to a dean of admissions at a medical school. You may not have to complete a full undergrad degree and they will be happy to tell you exactly what you need to do to improve your chances of getting in. Yeah, just worry about doing well in college. No one will care about how you did in high school. Even if you get a C in your first or second year of college you will still be able to go to medical school as long as you show improvement and do well over all in your three or four years of undergrad.
