which course you choose to take is really dependent on what type of student you are and what kind of study style you have. I took Kaplan and taught for the Princeton Review. Kaplan's books were more in outline format, very concise. TPR books were more wordy (which I preferred) with more substance. B...

I suggest reading the MSAR yourself. You can also contact the schools you're interested in and ask them what the average GPA of their current first year class was. I have good friends and love them, but I wouldn't trust them on these types of information, not that they would deliberately mis-lead yo...

They post this information every year, so you can go to the same website or just google it for the most recent year it's available (2008). Also, if your Step 1 score is lower, you should try to do better on Step 2, it does make a difference if you take Step 2 before interview season starts fourth ye...

3. The answer that pops into your mind is right 80% of the time. forgot to say that I absolutely agree with this. you'd be surprised how much you remember. In my practice tests for Step 2, I've picked answers just because some how I knew that would be the answer, I didn't remember all the details, ...

to add to that :) I'd stay away from Kaplan for Step 2, do USMLE World, better and much cheaper. Word on the street has it that same is becoming more and more true for Step 1, but I used Kaplan for Step 1, so can't really opine on that.
