Medical TV shows

Review your favorite medical TV show.
Was it medically accurate? Was it anatomically accurate (that is, do residents actually look like that?)?

Medical TV shows

Post by Omnicron999 »

What do you guys think about the different medically themed TV shows out there?

I am personally a fan of the "Medical Dramas" such as ER, House, and even Gray's Anatomy to a certain extent (although that might have something to do with the hot surgeons...)

I also like some of the before and after surgery shows, and some of the medical docudramas.

What do you guys like?

So far I am really enjoying Greys Anatomy! Although I wonder how much it actually depicts real life.

Yeah, I wonder that about alot of the medical dramas. I am sure that most of them only capture a small portion what actual medicine is like.

I am also pretty sure that not very many models become surgeons, a la grays anatomy :)

Grays Anatomy is okay, but not very realistic from what i have seen in the hospitals.

ER has been on too long and is running out of good themes for it's show

SCRUBS is by far the best medically based t.v. show out there...my goal is to make my residency as much fun as it is portrayed on that show as possible when i get through med school
