Nursing is a great profession. Even if we might only look as assistants to doctors, both doctors and the patients need us.

Very true indeed and it is now a well known fact that nurses and doctors job both go hand in hand!!

Unfortunately the stigma that nurses are nothing more than assistants to doctors is very true, and in that, a sense of powerlessness arises. Doctors are seen as the ones with the most authority when nurses know and understand things just as well.
