ultrasound research! help

Post by mickeyrat15 »

I'm doing a research paper for my English class on diagnostic medical sonography, specifically ultrasound obstetrics and gynecology. I would love if someone who is an expert in this field could answer some questions for me for my paper. It would be an amazing help to my paper and my knowledge of this field since this is what I would like to go to school for. Ill include the questions now but if you would like to email me your answers you can do so at kratlif1@wvup.edu. THANKS!
1. Why did you choose a career in Ultrasound obstetrics and gynecology?
2. What are the most rewarding things about this field?
3. When did you realize how this effects people and do you have a memory of it?
4. What are the risks of ultrasound technology on the fetus?
5. how do you feel about the 3-D and 4-D ultrasounds?
6. What is the most surprising thing you have learned in this field?
7. How accurate is ultrasound technology in diagnosing diseases or the health of the fetus?

7. It does help quite a bit, it's a lot better than what was available pre-ultrasounds. However, there is still a lot of ground to cover. For example, if there is a nuchal cord situation, it's still hard to tell how many wraps it is or how tight it is. But, ultrasounds have been getting more and more advanced and show more detail.

I'm curious what your research showed. How did it go?

Thanks for your reply on the topic. I do believe that ultrasound technician is a very promising job profile as lot of you people earn high ultrasound technician salary as per the later records. If you are looking for a promising career then this is the right choice for you.
