if you're also worried about how much it would cost you here's a helpful tool from LPN to BSN http://lpnbsn.net/nursing-school-net-pr ... tor-index/ very helpful in deciding which university to go to.

duaneconnell wrote:It usually takes 4 years to complete a BS Nursing and then you can take a licensure examination. For an associate nurse, you must finish a 2 year community college and 4 years from a learning institution.

for an Associates RN to BSN its not an extra 4 years, its like another 2 years with the RN to BSN path.

It depends on your free time and types of program you wish to enroll. There are online programs, evening and night programs, accelerated nursing programs, bridge programs, and classroom based programs. All these programs have different courses completion schedules. You can visit school website and find the types of programs they offer. If you are not working or have sufficient free time, you can join short duration accelerated or long duration nursing programs, but if you are busy or if you have a job, you can enroll in other programs and complete them in your free time. The program costs also differs depending upon the program.

LPN school is a bit shorter at around a year of training for a diploma/certification, and there are online programs as well. But, there are programs that can take up to two years, which is not that far off from what a lot of RNs go through
