Highlights: UAMS residents will see a diversity of cases through their training in the only Level 1 trauma center, the only children’s hospital, and the only burn center in the state. The program offers rotations in emergency helicopter transport (voluntary) and ground transport (mandatory). The emergency department at UAMS is also implementing a new schedule to improve general wellness and work-life balance and give residents additional time for professional development.
