Residents are exposed to a wide range of pediatric career tracks and subspecialties early in the program, and have the option of joining special interest groups in Academic Medicine, Community Pediatrics, Public Health, and International Medicine. This program also offers opportunities for residents to teach elementary-school students about health and science through the Residents in Schools Initiative (RISI).
