American Psychiatric Association Poster Competition
The Annual Meeting of the Institute of Psychiatric Services of the American Psychiatric Association offers an opportunity for international medical students and graduates to present posters. At a recent meeting, Adam Hines, a medical student at the Ross University School of Medicine, presented “Meningioma and Psychiatric Symptoms: A Case Report and Review.” The poster was based on a patient encounter he had during a rotation at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, NY. “The poster presentation was a really great experience,” said Hines in an article posted on the Ross University School of Medicine website. “I was able to present to prestigious people and to discuss the case with them.” He later wrote an article that was accepted for publication.
