Cardiology salary results are derived from yearly surveys of cardiologists in the U.S. across subspecialties.
The values shown are averaged across electrophysiologists, interventionalists, and non-intervential cardiologists. Not too surprisingly, interventional cardiologists made more than non-interventionalists. The median income for interventional cardiologists was $446,000, while non-interventional cardiologists had a median income of $428,600.
Salary levels also vary by geographical regions, with the southern United States, surprisingly, having some of the highest cardiology salary levels.
By comparison, the average internist salary (see Internal Medicine Survey) is $215,689.
